Some courts also have limited public access hours to address staff cutbacks. http://www.ojd.state.or.us/SCA/WebMediaRel.nsf/rssWhatsNew/ECBD52D6E5752DCC88257B630075E55A?OpenDocument http://www.ojd.state.or.us/SCA/WebMediaRel.nsf/rssWhatsNew/ECBD52D6E5752DCC88257B630075E55A?OpenDocument REQUEST FOR PUBLIC COMMENT Oregon Tort Claims Act 2013 Annual Adjustment of the Statutory Property Damage Limits Pursuant to ORS 30.273(3), enacted through Senate Bill 311 (2009), the Office of the State Court Administrator (OSCA) has followed the statutory methodology to calculate the annual adjustment to the limitations on liability of public bodies for property damage or destruction. Based on these calculations, we propose to adjust the limitations as follows: $106,700 for any single claimant $533,400 for all claimants The public comment period on the proposed adjustments closes at 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2013. We will then finalize the adjustments and, pursuant to ORS 30.273(3), the new limitations will become effective on July 1, 2013. They will apply to all causes of action arising on or after July 1, 2013, and before July 1, 2014. In compliance with statute, OSCA will make these adjustments annually.
