|A new electronic case management system (the Oregon eCourt Case Information System) is being installed in Jackson County Circuit Court beginning Thursday, March 7, 2013 through Sunday, March 24, 2013. |
During this time, Jackson County Circuit Court case information entered after March 6, 2013 will not be available at courthouse public access terminals, nor to online subscribers. Circuit Court case data for these courts entered during this time frame can be accessed by requesting it at the court clerk’s counter. Please check the local court website (http://courts.oregon.gov/OJD/courts/pages/index.aspx) for hours of operation, as public counter access hours may vary by courthouse location.
On Monday, March 25, 2013, all Jackson County Circuit Court case information can be accessed by the public at most public courthouse terminals, or by OJIN Online subscribers through the new Oregon eCourt Case Information System. Some Oregon circuit courts may not have public terminal access to the new system right away, but in that case, the public can request Jackson County Circuit Court case information at the court clerk’s counter.
During the installation of the new system, all Jackson County Circuit Court case information that was entered into the system before March 7, 2013, remains available and accessible to the public and OJIN subscribers through the Oregon Judicial Information Network (OJIN) and will remain available on that system through the end of April 2013.
After the end of April 2013, Jackson County Circuit Court data will no longer appear in OJIN and all their case data (past and present) will be accessed through the new Oregon eCourt Case Information System. All other Oregon county circuit courts who have not been converted to the new system will continue to provide public and OJIN subscriber access to case information through the OJIN system until they transition to the new system over the next several years.
Previous to Jackson, four other circuit courts have converted to the new system: Yamhill, Crook, Jefferson, and Linn. At this time Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook County Circuit Courts are scheduled for implementation in August 2013. The remainder of Oregon’s circuit courts are being scheduled for implementation between 2014 and 2016. Public notice will be provided in advance of other implementations.
